Philosophical principles of developing critical thinking in organizational leaders: an interdisciplinary approach

Introduction. The successful establishment of leadership as the foundation of sustainable development of an organization requires special attention to the formation and strengthening of critical thinking skills. The basis of modern concepts of leadership are the concepts of competence responsibility, which stimulates effective goal-setting and achievement of organizational tasks, improvement of internal organizational culture and increase of human capital potential. The ability of a manager to question information, analyze it from different points of view, make decisions based on evidence, look for connections between phenomena and constantly improve his own thinking becomes decisive. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to analyze the modern philosophical foundations of the development of critical thinking in leaders of organizations in the context of key skills and competencies. Results. The study examines the main philosophical principles of the development of his critical thinking, including the principles of awareness, purposefulness, justification, independence, reflexivity, controllability, and self-organization. It is substantiated that the critical thinking of a manager should be endowed with the vector of strengthening authority and trust, strategic thinking, and constant self-improvement. Conclusions. The study determined that the practical significance of critical thinking for a leader in a philosophical context is to make informed decisions, resist manipulation and disinformation, effectively solve problems based on comprehensive analysis, flexibility and adaptability to changes, the ability to find compromise solutions, and constant development and self-improvement. It is substantiated that improving the competencies of leaders in critical thinking requires the implementation of targeted educational courses both in the educational environment and within the framework of coaching projects, informal learning, and advanced training.
