This article is devoted to a philosophical and theoretical examination of the transformation of training for journalists and editors in the context of digital convergence, the algorithmization of communications, and the challenges posed by martial law. It explores the dual nature of journalistic and publishing activities as a combination of creative-analytical practice and a technologically organized process of content distribution. Using the example of the experience of the Mykhailo Dragomanov National University of Ukraine, the article analyzes the shift in the epistemological and axiological foundations of professional training. It justifies the transition from traditional linear models of learning to a networked, decentralized architecture of the educational process. It is determined that the key task of modern media education is the formation of a hybrid specialist who combines the roles of author, content curator, and media entrepreneur. Particular attention is paid to the ethical and value-based aspect of the profession as the main mechanism for countering disinformation in the post-truth era. A number of methodological approaches (competency-based, convergent-media, and adaptive-crisis) are summarized, which ensure the training of specialists capable of critically interpreting topics in the global digital space.
