Abstract

Purpose of the study. The authors set out to investigate and disclose the international military assistance provided to Ukraine in terms of missile and artillery support by the Ramstein coalition countries during 2022–2025. The methodology of the study  is based on the general scientific principles of historicism, objectivity, and systematicity. The work uses general scientific methods: logical, analytical, synthetic, periodization, reconstruction, and others, as well as special methods of historical research: historical-genetic, historical-comparative, and chronological. The scientific novelty of the results obtained lies in a comprehensive analysis of international military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the form of artillery systems and ammunition, in particular: the volumes and nomenclature of artillery weapons supplied — towed and self-propelled howitzers, reactive multiple launch rocket systems, and large-caliber ammunition; the contribution of partner countries, the impact of this assistance on the course of hostilities, the effectiveness of the use of the systems provided to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and logistical aspects (training of crews, maintenance, ammunition supply) were tracked; quantitative data on deliveries and their pace were provided, and key trends and challenges that arose during the integration of Western artillery in operations conducted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were analyzed. Conclusions. An analysis of recent studies and publications has revealed that international military assistance in the form of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition provided to Ukraine in 2022–2025 by the Ramstein Format Contact Group on defense issues has been one of the decisive factors influencing the course of the war for Ukraine's independence.

Ukraine has received a significant number of artillery systems and multiple launch rocket systems from international partners. These deliveries were coordinated both through the Ramstein anti-ruscist coalition and within the framework of bilateral assistance.

Partner countries have provided Ukraine with hundreds of large-caliber artillery systems and dozens of rocket launchers. The amount of ammunition transferred is estimated at millions of shells. This level of support demonstrates the high level of commitment of partner countries to supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Thus, the experience of 2022–2025 demonstrated the effectiveness of collective support for Ukraine in confronting the aggressor.

International military material and technical assistance to the artillery coalition remained one of the important elements in ensuring the stability of the Ukrainian state, the combat capability, and the effectiveness of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
