The article presents a comprehensive philosophical, religious studies, and sociocultural analysis of the transformation of the Protestant family in Ukraine under the conditions of full-scale war during the years 2022–2026. It examines the profound changes in the functioning of the family as a social and spiritual institution, in particular the transition from a relatively closed model of existence to active participation in civic resistance, mutual aid, and volunteer ministry. The study elucidates the significance of the theological understanding of the family as a covenantal community and a small ecclesial community within which spiritual integrity, inner resilience, and the capacity to overcome life crises are preserved. It is argued that, amid the chaos of war, the family emerges not only as a space of private life, but also as a center of prayer, support, love, moral formation, and daily spiritual ministry. Particular attention is devoted to the ethics of responsibility, which, under wartime conditions, reshapes traditional notions of family roles and contributes to the affirmation of a model of partnership, mutual support, and the shared bearing of life’s burdens. The article demonstrates that the family performs the function of interpreting traumatic experience and helps preserve humanity, moral equilibrium, and the capacity for the just defense of one’s neighbors and homeland. It is further emphasized that, in wartime, the Protestant family serves as an important environment for transmitting faith, moral values, and practices of everyday solidarity that ensure the continuity of spiritual life even in situations of prolonged danger, forced displacement, and social instability. It is established that it is precisely within the family community that spiritual experience, ethical reflection, and practical ministry are brought together, enabling the family to become one of the key factors in preserving social cohesion during war. The article concludes that the Protestant family in wartime functions as one of the fundamental centers of social resilience, moral order, and the future spiritual renewal of Ukrainian society.
