Benefits and risks of using artificial intelligence in education

Fast growing development of AI tools leads to significant changes in educational process. The main goal of this article is philosophical analysis of AI phenomenon and its impact on educational process. The following methods were used to analyze the impact: philosophical analysis to investigate the contradictions of the concept of AI, comparative analysis to compare different concepts of AI, historical approach to consider AI in development, analysis to decompose the problem into separate parts, and synthesis to form new knowledge about the object of research.. Results. It was possible to analyze the phenomenon of artificial intelligence and track the change in attitude towards it in the educational environment in recent years. AI based technologies have achieved rapid development over the past decades. This was made possible due to the development of computer technology and the increase of computing power. Before the era of mass use of chatbots there were simpler information systems that also implemented the concept of AI. Such systems had both obvious advantages and less obvious disadvantages such as unreliable sources of information. The main problem is blind trust of information from such systems by users. With the beginning of the mass use of AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT, this problem has only become even more serious. Modern information technologies have begun to have a very significant impact on society and on the educational process. The problems of plagiarism and ignoring of duty now become common among students. An analysis of research over the past 5 years has shown that authors mostly describe the advantages of AI systems but do not pay enough attention to problems. This is especially true for apologists of AI technologies who are interested in their promotion. It is impossible to use and implement such technologies without understanding what they really are and getting the skills to work safely with them. Conclusion. It is shown that as a result of the study, it was possible to achieve the set objectives, namely to analyze the phenomenon of AI and its impact on the educational process from different points of view. It was possible to identify key contradictions in the concept of AI and propose a vision for their resolution. As a result of the analysis of the motivation of education seekers, it was possible to identify ways of ethical and effective application of AI in the educational process.
