The emphasis is placed on the relevance of his cultural heritage for modern processes of nation-building and the preservation of historical memory.Conclusions. In the context of the modern rethinking of the historical past and the search for value orientations for Ukrainian society, the figure of Prince Vasyl-Konstantyn Ostrohsky acquires special significance. His activities in the field of culture, education, spirituality and book printing became the basis for the formation of the Ukrainian humanitarian tradition in difficult conditions of political and confessional pressure. The prince acted as a leader of the national revival and a defender of the Orthodox faith. The study of his humanitarian contribution allows us to more deeply understand the origins of Ukrainian cultural identity, and also actualizes the issue of preserving national heritage in the face of modern challenges.
