The current task of philosophical reflection is to analyze the trends in the development of the object under study, in this case, ethics. The article identifies the main trends in the transformation of everyday ethics, the expansion of professionalism, moral pluralism and the expansion of ethical regulation in new technological areas. The author notes that ethics, as a philosophical science, depicts the essential characteristics and problems of moral relationships in society and seeks to provide answers to the main external challenges that affect moral guidelines. The purpose of the study is to identify the main trends in the development of modern ethics, their content and direction. The objectives of the article are to identify the main trends in the development of modern ethics; characterize the content and features of the trends in the development of modern ethics. The methodological complex of the specified research problem involves the use of socio-cultural, dialectical, existential approaches. The following main trends in the development of modern aesthetics are distinguished and analyzed: - professionalization of ethics, because over the past decades moral philosophy has acquired an applied character, covering practical issues in almost all areas of social production, such as education, medicine, law, business, environment; - expansion of the sphere of moral regulation, which means the penetration of moral principles into new technological areas of human activity, which were previously considered neutral or purely technical; - orientation towards pluralism of moral guidelines, which is manifested in the recognition of the plurality of moral systems, the equality of different ethical approaches and the desire for dialogue between them.It is emphasized that particularly unusual, new ethical issues have been raised by the phenomenon of artificial intelligence (AI), which has entered almost all areas of social production and spheres of life of modern man.
