The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that post-truth, as a socio-philosophical phenomenon, has become a defining characteristic of the modern information space. Manipulative practices, emotional perception, and the selectivity of information increasingly replace rational criteria of truth, shaping new models of social communication. It creates challenges for the development of critical thinking, the preservation of democratic values, and the stability of social institutions. The study aims to clarify the essence of the post-truth phenomenon as a category of philosophical analysis and to define its impact on the contemporary information landscape. Particular attention is paid to identifying the key features of post-truth, the mechanisms of its dissemination, and its consequences for the formation of social perceptions and practices. Methods. The research applies an interdisciplinary approach that combines methods of philosophical analysis, hermeneutics, discourse analysis, and elements of socio-communication analysis. It enabled the integration of different scientific perspectives and provided a comprehensive understanding of the post-truth phenomenon. Results. It has been established that the phenomenon of post-truth is based on the dominance of emotional narratives over factual accuracy, leading to a transformation of the nature of truth in public discourse. The study reveals that the key instruments of post-truth dissemination are mass media and digital communications, which create an environment that facilitates manipulation, reinforces information “bubbles,” and fragments social consciousness. It is shown that under post-truth conditions, the role of individual criticality and reflective ability increases, while social institutions lose their monopoly on producing reliable knowledge. It is argued that post-truth not only distorts the informational picture of the world but also forms a new epistemological paradigm in which truth acquires a relative and contextual character. Conclusions. The study argues that examining post-truth as a philosophical phenomenon is essential for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of modern communication and their impact on social development. It is demonstrated that overcoming the negative consequences of post-truth is possible through the development of media literacy, the strengthening of critical thinking, and the formation of a responsible communication culture. The results obtained can be used in further academic research as well as in practical strategies of information policy and educational programs.
