Abstract

The article explores the phenomenon of creativity in everyday interiors as a form of philosophical anthropological self expression and affirmation of the human “self” within the home space. The problem statement emphasizes that the contemporary home exceeds its utilitarian function and becomes an environment for self knowledge, symbolic and cultural self creation, where material objects and spatial solutions reflect personal identity and values.

A review of literature shows that the home is considered an existential and cultural phenomenon: M. Heidegger interprets dwelling as a way of being in the world, M. Merleau Ponty views it as an embodied form of world apprehension, and G. Bachelard treats it as an archetype of spiritual security and a space of imagination. Phenomenology of everyday life (A. Schutz, P. Berger, T. Luckmann) and the concept of “everyday tactics” (M. de Certeau) demonstrate that routine activities and interior arrangements act as instruments of creativity and meaning making. The cultural approach (Y. Lotman, R. Barthes, W. Benjamin) highlights the semiotic and communicative dimension of the home, where objects and space function as a cultural text, memory archive, and symbolic extension of the “self.”

The methodological basis of the study combines philosophical anthropological, phenomenological, hermeneutic, cultural, and aesthetic approaches, allowing a comprehensive assessment of the interaction between material and spiritual, individual and collective dimensions within domestic space. The study shows that creativity in everyday life manifests as an act of self expression, communication, identity formation, and moral awareness, transforming the home into a space of harmony, integrity, and meaning.

The conclusions emphasize that the interior serves as an extension of the human “self,” where the material world carries spiritual experience. Home aesthetics form a humanistic context for creativity, turning everyday life into meaningful existence and providing conditions for the development of personal and cultural self awareness.
