Abstract

In the current conditions of globalization and political challenges, the role of cultural identity as a factor in preserving national identity and consolidating society is growing. The Revolution of Dignity of 2013-2014 became a turning point in the history of Ukraine. It significantly influenced the formation of new values, symbols and practices of civic activism. Analysis of the impact of revolutionary events on cultural identity allows us to identify mechanisms of social transformation, consolidation of the nation and the formation of collective memory. The purpose of the study is to study the Revolution of Dignity as a factor in the transformation of Ukrainian cultural identity and determine its impact on the formation of new values, symbols and cultural practices in society. For this purpose, a comprehensive scientific approach was applied, which includes the analysis of scientific literature, the historical and cultural method, the content analysis of symbols and works of art, as well as the structural and logical method for generalizing data and forming a systemic vision of the processes of cultural transformation. The study revealed that the Revolution of Dignity became a catalyst for a new value system, embracing the ideas of freedom, democracy, dignity and justice. It also demonstrated that the symbolic dimension of the revolution, including the emergence of new national symbols and the transformation of the Maidan space into a sacred center, played a crucial role in consolidating a new collective identity. Furthermore, the artistic representation of events through painting, literature, and media integrated the national narrative into the global cultural discourse, highlighting the uniqueness of Ukrainian cultural identity. New values, symbols and artistic practices ensure the unity of the nation, support moral guidelines, stimulate civic activity and open prospects for the harmonious development of Ukraine in the global world.
