Transformation of moral and legal culture in the context of globalization changes

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of ethical and philosophical aspects of moral and legal culture in the context of globalization changes, the peculiarities of the transformation of the national legal system. Globalization, the latest technologies, economic changes and social transformations lead to the convergence of legal norms and moral values and ideals, and encourage a rethinking of the concepts of moral and legal culture and the study of the axiological dimensions of moral and legal issues in the globalized world. From the standpoint of philosophical and legal analysis and the system of methods of scientific cognition, the author examines legal phenomena, connections and contradictions of interaction between morality and law in modern society, peculiarities of transformation of moral and legal reality under the influence of globalization processes and the latest technologies, and the main aspects of the impact of European integration processes on the transformation of the moral and legal culture of Ukrainians. It has been established that the processes of European integration and Ukraine's active participation in them are important factors that cause innovative changes in the national legal system, as well as determine the transformation of the moral and legal culture of Ukrainians, taking into account the universal values of the European Union (EU). It is proved that the gradual but purposeful policy of the State to implement the universal values of EU law facilitates their assimilation by the population of Ukraine at the mental level while preserving national and cultural characteristics. It is stated that the legal system of modern Ukraine is fragmentarily globalized, which is generally due to the transitional (transitory) state in which society and the State are. The author proposes and characterizes the content of a number of key dimensions that reveal the essence of transformations in the moral and legal culture of Ukrainian society that are taking place due to Ukraine's active participation in the processes of European integration.
