Abstract

The article explores the sculptural work of Markus Lüpertz, one of the most prominent German artists and sculptors of the 20th and 21st centuries. The main features and types of sculptures falling under the definition of monumental art are identified. An analysis of the artistic, stylistic, and symbolic features of Lüpertz's work is provided. Emphasis is placed on the compositional and aesthetic significance of his sculptures, as well as their role in shaping contemporary artistic space. Attention is focused on the mechanisms of creating sculptures, their functional and ideological components. The artistic value and cultural impact of Lüpertz's work on contemporary art are discussed.
