History of the development of aerial acrobatics and pole sports in Ukraine

Abstract

Summary. The purpose of the study was to analyze the stages of the formation and development of aerial acrobatics and pole vaulting in Ukraine from the beginning of the 21st century to the present.

Research methods - analysis of literary sources. Internet resources, photo and video materials, interviews with leading coaches and organizers of competitions.

Results. The study found that the formation of pole sports in Ukraine began around 2010, when the first specialized studios were opened in Kyiv and Lviv. The active development of aerial acrobatics as a separate area of sports and aesthetic activity dates back to 2017, which coincides with the moment of intensive expansion of the material and technical base, an increase in the number of studios and interest from young people. Based on a retrospective analysis of literature, interviews with specialists and analysis of the activities of specialized organizations, three main stages of the development of pole sports and aerial acrobatics in Ukraine are identified: initial stage (2010-2015) - characterized by isolated attempts to adapt dance and acrobatic elements of pole sport to the training process, as well as the lack of a unified educational and methodological base; stage of active spread (2016-2020) - characterized by the rapid growth of the number of studios in large cities, in particular in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, as well as the popularization of adolescents and adults. ) - marked by a rapid increase in the number of studios in large cities, in particular in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, as well as popularization among adolescents and adults; the stage of institutionalization (2021-2024) - associated with the formation of a structured federated system, standardization of judging, regular national competitions and attempts to integrate the discipline into the system of official sport. The key persons have been identified: Oksana Popyk (Karamelina), Natalia Hranat, Victoria Uhrynovych, and others who laid the methodological foundations for teaching. 12 leading studios were created in Lviv and the region. Since 2018, the Fusion Air Cup competition has been held annually, with more than 400 athletes from all over Ukraine taking part. Conclusions: The study for the first time systematizes the history of the development of aerial acrobatics and pole sports in Ukraine, which creates the basis for further research in this area and contributes to the development of state standards for the training of coaches.
