The article considers network identity as a form of social existence. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to theoretically understand network identity as a form of social existence of an individual in the conditions of a digital society, to determine its essential characteristics, structural components and features of functioning in the modern communicative space. Methods. To achieve the set goal, a complex of general scientific and theoretical research methods was used. Methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization and systematization of scientific sources on the issues of digital sociality and network identity were applied. Comparative analysis allowed us to identify the main approaches to understanding the phenomenon of network identity and to determine the features of its functioning in the modern information society. Results. As a result of the study, it was established that network identity is a complex multidimensional phenomenon that is formed under the influence of social, psychological and technological factors. It is determined that in modern scientific discourse, network identity is interpreted as a dynamic system of digital self-presentation, social interaction and construction of personal experience in a virtual environment. It is found that the structure of network identity includes cognitive, emotional-value, behavioral-communicative, symbolic-visual and reflective components that are in constant interaction. It is established that network identity is characterized by variability, dynamism and dependence on the algorithmized digital space. The socio-psychological consequences of the functioning of the individual in the conditions of hybrid reality are outlined, including the transformation of self-identification processes, a change in the nature of interpersonal communication, the influence of the digital environment on the emotional state of the individual and increased dependence on social approval. At the same time, it is determined that the digital space creates new opportunities for self-realization, professional development and social support. Conclusions. It has been proven that network identity is a new form of social existence of an individual in a digital society, which combines elements of self-presentation, social interaction, and digital construction of the “I.” Its formation occurs under the influence of social and technological mechanisms that change traditional ideas about identity and ways of social interaction.
